Since Yokogawa Test & Measurement introduced the ScopeCorder DL950 four years ago, numerous technical advances have been made in the fields of electric vehicles (EVs), renewable energy, and other industrial sectors. According to the Japanese manufacturer, today, the ability to simultaneously measure multiple parameters and the systematization of mechatronic measurements are increasingly necessary for product development. For example, when developing motors for industrial systems and EVs, durability testing is an essential test for verifying and improving a product. “This time-consuming test requires an extremely reliable measuring instrument and high sampling rates,” Yokogawa emphasizes.
Main Features
The SL2000 allows for long-term multi-channel measurements while providing detailed waveform analysis capabilities. It has a sampling rate of up to 200 MS/s and a memory depth of 8 Gbits. Acquired data can also be streamed to a PC.
The integrated IS8000 software platform simplifies the acquisition unit control process and measurement performance. To use other software or facilitate integration with other systems, software development kits are available for coding in Python, LabView, and C, as well as an API for controlling the interface.
The SL2000 has eight slots for various acquisition modules, allowing it to combine up to 32 analog channels or 128 digital channels. More than 20 types of input modules are available to measure electrical signals, mechanical performance parameters provided by sensors, and decoded serial bus signals from the vehicle. To increase the number of measurement channels, up to five SL2000 and DL950 units can be synchronized.
The same plug-in modules available for the ScopeCorder DL950 and DL350 can be used. With a single SL2000 unit, it is possible to simultaneously record isolated analog signals from low voltage to 1000 V, digital signals, encoder signals, CAN/CAN FD/LIN/SENT communication signals from on-board networks, as well as signals from vibration, strain, and temperature sensors.
By combining the plug-in modules, long-term multi-channel recording of voltage, current, temperature, acceleration, strain, pulse, digital, and CAN/CAN FD/LIN/SENT communication signals is possible.
