Tektronix' CalWeb Cloud instruments management solution.

Asset Management: Tektronix adds new features to its CalWeb software

  • Tektronix announced a new version of CalWeb, its test and measurement equipment fleet management software.
  • The cloud-based software offers new tools to streamline instrument calibration and repair.

CalWeb provides a web-based application that allows users to view the calibration and repair history of their test and measurement instrument fleet and related documentation in one place. All information is securely stored and accessible from any computer or mobile device. This makes it easier for users to manage test and measurement equipment fleets consisting of devices from different brands that require calibrations or other services at different times.

The CalWeb 2021 updates, which provide instant access to more information, offer four new features:

  • Barcode creation, printing and scanning
CalWeb can create and print barcodes to label equipment and correlate them to selected database fields. Users can then use a smartphone or barcode scanner and instantly view calibration history and certificates, repair history and other useful information.
  • Integration through CalWeb’s REST API
The secure REST API allows CalWeb to easily integrate with any IT system. Programming language independent, the REST API features standard HTTP request function calls with Swagger and Postman API development toolkits.
  • Report generation tool
Create, run, and download custom reports on all CalWeb-managed assets with a single click.
  • Expanded asset management capability
CalWeb users can now receive automatic notifications when any of their test and measurement equipment needs to be calibrated. CalWeb can be used to manage any equipment, from any manufacturer – beyond Tektronix branded products.
