40-559 family of PXI matrices of Pickering

Pickering Interfaces presented its new BRIC switching matrices in PXI format at Autotestcon 2019

  • Pickering Interfaces presented its new switching solutions at the 2019 edition of the IEEE Autotestcon conference held August 26-29 at the Gaylord National Convention Center, National Harbor, Maryland.

On stand 502, Pickering Interfaces, a supplier of modular switching and signal simulation systems for electronic testing and verification, will present its new BRIC range of ultra-high density PXI matrix modules. The 0.5A 40-558 module offers up to 6,144 crossing points and a 39% higher switching density than its competitors, allowing a fully functional test system to be fully integrated into a PXI chassis. The integrated BRIC design saves space in a chassis compared to standard PXI matrix modules.

This unit complements the 40-559 model launched at the show last year: a 1A/20W module with up to 4,096 crossing points.

In partnership with the German company VX Instruments, which will also be present on stand 502, Pickering will present the VX Instruments PXM7820 solution operating in an LXI Ethernet environment thanks to its modular LXI/USB chassis with 4 slots (model 60-105). The PXM7820 module includes a 16-bit multimeter, a 16-bit digitizer, a counter/timer and a high-voltage input circuit. The integration of the PXM7820 module allows all Pickering LXI/USB chassis to measure and control switching within a single chassis.

Pickering also presents on its stand:

A high-density LXI Reed Ethernet relay matrix designed for semiconductor testing on wafers and integrated circuits. This Reed Relay Matrix solution combines Pickering’s LXI chassis (model 65-200) with 1 Amp plug-in matrices.

Different PXI switching modules to facilitate the migration of VXI test systems to PXI format.

Various sensor simulation modules including programmable resistance modules and thermocouple simulation modules.

eBIRST switching system test tools designed for Pickering’s PXI, PCI or LXI products. These tools simplify the troubleshooting of a switching system by quickly testing the system and graphically identifying the failed relay.

Switch Path Manager Signal Routing Software: This signal routing software aims to simplify signal routing through switching systems and accelerate the development of the switching system software. Switch Path Manager supports Pickering’s PXI, LXI and PCI switching modules and the interconnection between these products.
