Rohde & Schwarz’s R&S CMW100 radio communications tester targets volume production applications

  • The Rohde & Schwarz R&S CMW100 Radio Communications Tester is designed for the serial production testing of wireless communication devices according to the 5G standard and other traditional radio transmission technologies.

 
5G networks will operate a wider range of frequency bands, including sub-6 GHz. Designed to test and verify mobile phones and other wireless devices, the R&S CMW100 supports carrier frequencies up to 6 GHz and RF bandwidths up to 160 MHz exceeding the current 5G NR 3GPP specification where each component carrier cannot exceed 100 MHz wide.

The R&S CMW100 can test up to eight antennas and/or devices in parallel. It can therefore be used on automated production lines.

This solution supports various test methods. The device under test can be installed vertically or horizontally. This tester uses an open architecture that allows it to adapt to the latest computer technologies. It is integrated in a fanless dustproof housing.

In addition to devices operating the 5G NR communication standard below 6 GHz, this tester supports traditional radio access technologies such as GSM, WCDMA, LTE, WLAN and Bluetooth.

The R&S CMW100 is a solution suitable for mass production of both cellular and non-cellular wireless connectivity devices calibrated and verified in non-signaling mode (analyzer/generator).
