- The 2020 edition of electronica, which is held every two years in November in Munich, alternating with the productronica trade fair, will not be held in its usual format this year.
- Due to travel restrictions in many countries caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the organiser Messe München has decided that the international electronics trade fair will take the form of a virtual event.
Visitors will no longer have to wander through the long aisles and numerous exhibition halls of the trade fair to discover the electronic solutions and products they need. With just a few mouse clicks, they will be able to access the digital exhibition stands of suppliers of electronic components and test and measurement instrumentation via the Internet.
Digital tools will be set up to encourage exchanges, networking and interaction between visitors, customers and the various players in the world of electronics.
Messe München also announces that a large part of the conference and accompanying programme will also be available in digital form.
Individual talks and panel discussions on current topics such as the automotive industry, embedded systems, IIoT, 5G, medical electronics and intelligent energy will be available online.
