- Rohde & Schwarz, based in Munich, will welcome productronica visitors to its premises at the next edition of the biennial German trade fair, which will be held from 12 to 15 November 2019.
- The Bavarian company will present a wide range of test and measurement solutions for the development of electronic systems and automated production processes.
- Its instruments are intended to be used at all stages of the development, verification and production processes of designs and electronic devices.
Solutions for industry 4.0
Connected plants are relying on wireless communication technologies to automate their processes and increase productivity. The availability and reliability of wireless systems is therefore a major concern. At productronica 2019, Rohde & Schwarz will present a range of solutions to avoid disruptions to wireless communication systems. Portable spectrum analyzers such as the R&S Spectrum Rider FPH and the R&S MNT100 RF Interference Locator ensure the detection of radio interference. To measure radio coverage and provide an overview of the network’s RF performance, scanners in the R&S TSMx family can be deployed on vehicles or carried by operators. RF optimization on smartphones and the evaluation of the quality of service of a network in a connected factory can be performed via the Qualipoc Android application.
Test and measurement solutions for production
The latest version of the R&S CMW100 radiocommunication tester is designed for the production test of devices communicating in 5G in the FR1 frequency range. This solution, which combines eight antenna ports in a single enclosure, also supports the testing of 4G, 3G, WLAN and Bluetooth(R) communication technologies. Parametric tests in production of 5G devices in the FR2 frequency band can be performed with the R&S CMPQ turnkey system dedicated to OTA tests in the millimeter wave range (mmWave FR2). This solution combines a radio communication tester, a shielded cube and accessories adapted to OTA tests.
Rohde & Schwarz will also present a scalable RF test solution for 4G and 5G base station production testing, based on a cloud configuration, including the R&S SMBV100B signal generator, R&S FSVA3000 signal and spectrum analyzer and R&S Quickstep sequencing software. The combination of the R&S SMBV100B and R&S FSVA3000 instruments is also suitable for testing WLAN, cellular and IoT components and devices from R&D to production.
For automotive radar sensor testing, Rohde & Schwarz offers a new solution consisting of the R&S ATS1500C automotive radar test chamber and the R&S AREG100A automotive radar echo generator. It is a compact indirect far-field test chamber for the testing of radar sensors.
Rohde & Schwarz will present the R&S ZNL and R&S ZNBT20 ranges of vector network analyzers optimized for production applications. The R&S ZNL is characterized by its measuring speed at an affordable cost for filter testing, for example. The multi-port architecture of the R&S ZNBT20, with 24 ports up to 20 GHz, is suitable for parallel measurements, in particular to verify integrated beamforming circuits for phased array antennas.
Test and measurement solutions for development
Rohde & Schwarz will also promote a measurement solution for active frequency conversion devices, with its high-performance R&S ZNA vector network analyser. The company will demonstrate fading tests of 5G base stations with the R&S SMW200A vector signal generator and the R&S FSW43 signal and spectrum analyzer.
The R&S SMA100B analog microwave signal generator, covering a frequency band of 67 GHz and up to 72 GHz, will also be presented at productronica, as well as the latest member of the oscilloscope family, the R&S RTP164 with a 16 GHz bandwidth.
Automatic production test systems
Gedis, a subsidiary of Rohde & Schwarz, will present at productronica the GTE300, a modular automatic test system for in-situ tests, functional tests, boundary scan tests… This tester can operate in production processes organized in islands or in line. Rohde & Schwarz will also present the latest modules for its modular R&S OSP switching platform covering frequencies up to 67 GHz.
