R&S FSW signal and spectrum analyzer of Rohde & Schwarz

Rohde & Schwarz’s FSW spectrum and signal analyzers improve their performance

  • Rohde & Schwarz has improved the features of its high-end FSW spectrum and signal analyzer family.
  • A 2 GHz internal analysis bandwidth option and an 800 MHz real-time analysis bandwidth option are available on models with a maximum input frequency of 26.5 GHz and above.
  • The R&S FSW signal analyzers now have a capacitive touch screen.

The phase noise of the signal analyzers of the R&S FSW family is now up to 10 dB lower than that of previous generation models.

The new R&S FSW analysers with a frequency band above 26.5 GHz have an internal analysis bandwidth of 2 GHz. It is now possible to analyze broadband signals from radar systems or 802.11ad Wi-Fi signals without the need for an external digitizer such as an oscilloscope.

The R&S FSW can reach analysis bandwidths above 2 GHz to meet the requirements of automotive radar or 5G mobile telecommunications applications. The bandwidth of the R&S FSW43 or R&S FSW85 models can be extended up to 5 GHz using an R&S RTO2000 oscilloscope.

The real-time analysis band now reaches 800 MHz instead of 500 MHz on previous models. The new models of the R&S FSW process signals twice as fast as before and perform more than two million FFTs per second. According to Rohde & Schwarz, the probability of interception of signals with a minimum duration of 0.46 µs is 100%.

The SCPI recorder integrated in the R&S FSW analyzer facilitates the automatic creation of test sequences. It records all the parameters involved and converts them into a script suitable for controlling the analyzer.
