- Keysight Technologies’ 5G Conformance Toolset is the first test solution to be approved for 5G New Radio (NR) certification by the PTCRB, a certification forum of cellular telecommunications operators.
This validation is the result of the collaboration between Keysight and Qualcomm Technologies. It focuses on verifying the validity and behavior of the radio frequency (RF) and protocol conformance test specifications as defined by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). Conformance tests adopted by certification bodies such as PTCRB ensure that commercial 5G devices comply with the latest 3GPP Release 15 specifications and operate as intended on mobile networks.
The 5G Compliance Toolkit, based on Keysight’s UXM 5G wireless test platform, is part of Keysight’s range of 5G network emulation solutions. It supports the first and only validated 5G RF test case to help device manufacturers verify compliance with 3GPP 5G NR NSA (non-standalone) requirements for a minimum power generated by a 5G mobile device in sub-6GHz frequencies.
This solution addresses the development process of telecomunication equipment from early design, to acceptance and manufacturing. It takes charge of the entire certification process of the devices. It provides verification and certification of mobile devices accross radio frequency (RF), radio resource management (RRM) and protocol. It certifies new designs operating at FR1 (sub-6GHz frequencies) and FR2 (mmWave frequencies).
