- Rigol Technologies announces the extension of its DSG800 series RF generator range.
- Four new sources are available covering frequency bands from 9kHz to 1.5 GHz, 2.1 GHz, 3 GHz or 3.6 GHz.
- These generators also provide IQ modulation capability.
These signal generators are distinguished by their attractive price. For example, the DSG 815 (1.5 GHz) model is priced at 1,880 euros net. It has an amplitude accuracy of less than 0.5 dB (typ), a maximum output power of +20 dBm and a phase noise of less than -112 dBc/Hz@20 kHz. Frequency stability is less than 2 ppm.
These instruments come standard with AM/FM/ΦM modulation capabilities with a frequency resolution of 0.01 Hz.
They have standard USB and LAN interfaces and support SCPI control commands.
Three options are available to enhance the stability and functionality of the signal generators. The Thermostated Crystal Oscillator (Option OCXO-A08) improves the temperature stability of the internal clock from 2 ppm to 5 ppb.
Options for pulse train generation (PUG-DSG800) and pulse modulation (PUM-DSG800) are also available. The pulse options of the DSG800 allow a predefined or self-defined pulse sequence or pulse modulated signals to be generated.
